The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regards to the high quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services stage developed for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
